Tips for Sun Bath and Sea swimming

Perhaps the greatest advantage of sun-bathing is that it takes you away from usual enviornment ;this in itself tends to reduce stress.Another advantage is that it relaxes us and relaxation of any kind is good for the health.To benefit from the valuable ultra-violet rays of the sun,which generate vitamin-D in the system ,it is not neccesary to lie directly in the sun -the rays can be of benefit even if you are in the shade provided you are not wearing thick clothing.
1. Over-exposure to the sun can be dangerous and can lead to sun-stroke.For someone used to british sun ,exposure to the sun ,say in mediterranean or the tropics ,should be gradual.
2. Where there is enormous perspiration from body,it is essential to replace both salt and water .Unless this is done ,a person is liable to collaspe.A drink of water with a dash of salt’sugar and lime is excellent.
3. The eyes are one part of the body that are must be protected during sun-bathing .If the eyes are properly protected from the sun,the body will not suffer any harm.There is no proof of the claim that head and back of the neck must be protected from the sun.
POLLUTION AND SUN-SWIMMING
AN investigation has revealed that transmission of diseases from sea water to swimmers are rare even when the beaches are heavily contaminated with sewage.
1. The fact is that sewage in sea wter has never been scientifically proved to be serious health hazard.The salt in the sea water probably has a lot to do with that as salt is an excellent dis-infectant.
2. Another reason is that swimmers hardly swallow any water .
