Fuel saving is an increasingly important topic. The price of energy, in particular fossil fuel, is inevitably on a long-term upward path (even if it is currently relatively low), while the global recession means everyone has less money to spare. Fuel bills – whether for the home or for the car – take up an ever-increasing proportion of people’s budgets.
1) GO TO THE SERVICE STATION.
*Maintain your vehicle by regularly visiting service station.
*Incompatible sparks should be removed.
* Filter should be cleaned and only go for recommended oil.
2) MAINTAIN TYRE PRESSURE.
* Tyre pressure should be maintained as recommended by maker of vehicle.
* Remember under inflated tyres require more energy to roll .
3) KEEP IT LIGHT.
*Remove unwanted material from your vehicle .
*Also remove the rooftop carrier as it disturbs the aerodynamics of vehicle.
4) BE COOL
* Hitting breaks unnecessarily, accelerating again and again slows down the performance of your car
5) TOP GEAR
* At high speeds car should driven in top gear but when car is slow a suitable gear should be maintained as using high gear at low speed puts extra force on engine .
6) SUITABLE VENTILATION
*On streets ,car windows should be rolled down .
* On, highways ,windows should be rolled down and Air conditioner should be turned on
7) WARM YOUR ENGINE
* Vehicle uses more fuel when engine is cold than it is warm.Thus ,engine should be warmed before driving .
8) CHOSE ECONOMICAL VEHICLE
* The best way to save money from expenditure on fuel is to buy an economical car. Engineering has advanced much to produce more and more efficient engines.
